The New England 65-Plus Runners club is a unique club in that one need only be 65 years old or within six months of attaining that age to join. We are an organization of active senior athletes from all areas of New England and beyond.

The main purpose of the club is to achieve greater recognition for the growing group of senior athletes. The club encourages race directors and sponsors to include age categories in their events at least up to 70 years of age. Prior to the organization of the club most athletic events failed to have age categories beyond 50+, not much of a competitive edge for the senior athlete. The club has made great strides in this endeavor. More than 95% of athletic events in New England now include age divisions of 60, 70 and even 80. We participate in many athletic events, from community athletic events to major marathons and state and national senior games.
